Terms & Conditions
Please read these terms carefully before booking with Kit Lanka Tours

1. Booking & Confirmation
A booking is confirmed upon receipt of the deposit payment and a written confirmation from Kit Lanka Tours. The person making the booking accepts these terms on behalf of all members of the travelling party.
2. Pricing
All prices are quoted in US Dollars (USD) unless otherwise stated. Prices cover private chauffeur transport and guided excursions as specified. Accommodation is not included in the standard tour price — Kit Lanka Tours does not directly sell hotel bookings. Where accommodation assistance is requested, we connect clients with hotels on a referral basis. Prices exclude international flights, travel insurance, personal expenses, and visa fees.
3. Payment
- Deposit: 30% of total tour cost required at booking
- Balance: Due 30 days before tour start date
- Late bookings: Full payment required for bookings within 30 days of departure
Payments are processed securely through Stripe and are subject to Stripe's terms of service.
4. Cancellation by Client
- 90+ days before departure: Full refund minus processing fee ($50)
- 60–89 days: 75% refund
- 30–59 days: 50% refund
- 15–29 days: 25% refund
- Less than 15 days: No refund
5. Cancellation by Kit Lanka Tours
In the unlikely event we must cancel your tour due to natural disasters, civil unrest, or other force majeure events, we will offer a full refund or alternative dates. We are not liable for losses incurred due to cancellations beyond our reasonable control.
6. Changes to Itinerary
We reserve the right to make minor adjustments to itineraries where necessary due to weather, road conditions, or operational reasons. We will always endeavour to provide an equivalent experience. Significant changes will be communicated promptly.
7. Travel Insurance
We strongly recommend all clients purchase comprehensive travel insurance covering medical emergencies, trip cancellation, and personal liability. Kit Lanka Tours is not responsible for costs arising from the lack of adequate travel insurance.
8. Health & Safety
Clients must inform us of any medical conditions, dietary requirements, or mobility limitations prior to departure. We will make reasonable accommodations where possible.
9. Liability
Kit Lanka Tours provides private transport and guided tour services. We do not directly operate hotels or accommodation. Where we assist in connecting clients with hotels or other third-party services upon request, we act purely as an introduction service and are not liable for the acts, omissions, or quality of such suppliers. Our total liability for any claim relating to our own services shall not exceed the total tour price paid.
10. Conduct
We reserve the right to exclude any client from a tour if their behaviour is deemed disruptive, dangerous, or offensive to other clients or staff. No refund will be issued in such circumstances.
11. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of Sri Lankan courts.
